Job Opportunities and What It Means to You

Featured

Job Opportunities - Entry Level Jobs - Job ListingsJob opportunities and the search for them have other repercussions.  For whatever unclear reasons, the scientific world invented the idea about the origin of life.  However, it had forgotten to explain why man needs to work in the first place.  It would be comforting to suggest that that initial DNA was already at work in order to survive to accommodate this scientific notion.  Otherwise, work was a Divine creation, and if it is so, to toil is an honorable act.

Then it can be related in some sorts to human dignity.  Anyone, whose employment is unstable, would likely comprehend this for it is indeed dire to be in a state of penury, or to be almost in such and such state.  Extended further, it means having a day-to-day activity, which one might sufficiently term as work, should be to him enough a reason to acquire that self-serving self-confidence.

Indeed so, because this world is a world for and of the moving and nothing immobile activities such as watching TV or imagining what the future can be while on a sofa can ever be acknowledged as worthy of one’s preoccupations especially if such activities do not raise one’s standard of living.  Thus, money, toil and dignity belong together in one set and it is a necessary set that must precede an honorable existence.

This thought is necessary when browsing through good job opportunities.  Job opportunities that are stable and both financially and psychologically uplifting should be the endpoint of a good job search.  Job openings proliferate everywhere including the net where job opportunities can be found in so many listings.  One recommended site is entry level jobs, a site known to be full of job listings and openings.  Everyone is invited to visit the site where job opportunities should not be missed.

Tinnitus Relief Methods – Cure for Tinnitus

Featured

If you have experienced or is suffering from tinnitus, then you would agree that this condition is not something one could ignore. The constant ringing in the ear with matching headache and dizziness will inhibit you from attending to your daily routines. So, the question now is how to relieve the symptoms of tinnitus? Is there such a thing as a tinnitus cure?

Tinnitus can be brought about by different things like exposure to loud noises, ear infections, or earwax impaction. Before you apply any method of relieving tinnitus, you should first know what causes your condition to get the right cure for tinnitus.

For tinnitus caused by earwax impaction, the best thing to do is to visit an ENT doctor. Ear irrigation will be performed to release the impacted earwax however you might have to wait for at least a week to give the earwax time to loosen. Ear irrigation provides instant tinnitus cure but it will only work for this case.

For tinnitus caused by ear infection, the best thing to do is to visit your physician first. Most ear infections come from diseases that involve the nasal passage and throat. A simple tinnitus cure for this kind of tinnitus is to just drink water and medicine for nasal decongestion.

Tinnitus caused by damaged cochlea is more difficult to treat. Unless you undergo a surgery, you have a very small chance to regain your previous hearing ability. However, there is a contemporary tinnitus cure developed by a medical researcher (and former tinnitus sufferer) that might help you eliminate and prevent tinnitus. This holistic program has a step-by-step guide that will show you the fastest and simplest way to make tinnitus go away as soon as possible. For more information about the program make sure to click the link above and find out how you can take advantage of this wonderful tinnitus cure.

Cell Phone Number Lookup: Bane or Boon?

Featured

If you are the subject of harassing phone calls, you can use cell phone number look up to identify your anonymous caller and report him to the authorities.  Cell phone number lookup can trace both listed and unlisted numbers and give you information about the caller’s location, full name, and background information.  Of course, this does not sit well with some people who purchased cellular phones or had their numbers unlisted to protect their privacy.  Without them knowing it, their personal information has been added to a comprehensive database which can be accessed by anybody anywhere.

Cell phone number search is confidential.  However, you have to pay a certain amount to get the information you need.  Free cell phone number lookup is possible but the information you will get is limited to the city and state where the phone number is listed and the phone type.  To acquire a complete report, people looking for information have to pay $14.95.  A premium membership, wherein members will have unlimited searches for a year, typically costs $39.95.  Customers can also remove their private information from public sources and the database of that particular cell phone number lookup provider by paying $4.95.  But it might still be available in the database of other phone number search providers.

Cell phone number search can be alarming to anybody who wishes to maintain their privacy as their information can be acquired by anybody for a fee.  On the other hand, cell phone number look up can put an end to mysterious or threatening phone calls.  Cell phone number search is also helpful for people looking for a long lost friend or family member and all they have is a phone number to start with.  But is cell phone number lookup a bane or boon? You be the judge.

Saying Goodbye to a Friend – August 18, 2008
Our dear friend Reverend Penny Durocher is now with the Lord. This is so bitter sweet. I am relieved she is no longer suffering and is safely in the presence of the Lord; however, I am grieving the loss of a dear friend.

Thank you to all of you who gave toward her medical care and expenses. Please continue to pray for Penny’s family, to know God’s comfort in their lives.

Thank you for all your prayers for me as well.

I love you all so much,

Barbara
Urgent Prayer Request – July 30, 2008
Hello Beloved,

Many of you close to this ministry know that Rev. Penny Durocher, a long time friend of this ministry and faithful supporter is battling breast cancer that has metastisized to her liver.

Please pray for physical healing. She is fighting in faith and we are standing with her. We have sent donations for her medical fund as she now requires around-the-clock care. If you would like to donate to Rev. Durocher’s medical fund, please send your contribution to our office marked “Rev. Penny Durocher”.

Penny is a big sister to me and has mentored me in many ways. She has been faithful to minister to “the least of these”. Thank you for responding in faithfulness.

I love you all so much! Thank you for your prayers!

Update on the Philippines – July 15, 2008
As you know, the Philippines has been a hot bed of activity recently. In early June, I was praying about our trip and kept getting a block from the Lord. I was then informed that a female journalist and her crew were kidnapped from the very province where we were scheduled to minister. They were released after $340,000 was paid in ransom funds.

I then received report that Pastor Alan Egford’s church in Negros Occidental (where I was to provide a music workshop) was flooded out completely! And while some say that I am a “bull dog” in the spirit, I had to look at all of these things through the eyes of wisdom (block in prayer, terrorist activity, and natural disaster) and postpone our trip for now.

The board members of POCM as well as myself all felt that this is not the best time for me to travel by myself. I will get to the Philippines eventually, but need to wait for God’s timing.

In the mean time, we are assisting Pastor Egford with support to enable him to stay in the Phils (he is a missionary from England) and rebuild. At present time, his church is meeting in homes as they “rebuild spiritually”. This is the second flood they have survived.

If you would like to contribute to Pastor Egford’s support, please send your tax deductible contributions to our office with a note specifically stating “Pastor Alan Egford Support”.

Thank you and we love you!

Thank You for Voting! Enter In Made it to #4! – February 26, 2008
Thank you, everyone! Enter In actually made it to #4 on the Adult Contemporary Chart for Indieheaven. Indieheaven only allows the song to stay on for one month, so I feel very good about the progress we made. Thanks again and I will be submitting another song soon.
Keep Voting – Enter In is Going Up On the FanFaves Chart! – February 4, 2008
Thank you for Voting! – February 3, 2008
Hi Everyone!

Thank you for voting for me in the Momentum Awards as well as for voting on the song Enter In. Although I did not make it to the finals, Enter In has gone up dramatically on the Adult Contemporary Fanfaves Chart on www.indieheaven.com. Thank you faithful friends!

I am celebrating with the finalists and grateful to God that I did not receive it as rejection, merely a challenge to work harder at promoting the message of the cross through music. What a work God has done in me over the years! Thank you, Father! I love Indieheaven.com because they are so honoring of each person’s gifting and they have created an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation for fellow members that is often missing among musicians.

Thank you for your faithfulness to me and to this ministry. We had our annual board meeting yesterday and spent time praying for you and for our upcoming trip to the Philippines. God is putting together a wonderful team. I will be sending out a newsletter to bring you up to speed on this. If you would like to be on our e-mail or mailing list, you can reach us at: info@powerofthecrossministries.org.

We love you and bless you. Thank you again for your friendship and support!

In His Grace,

Barbara Nominated for Momentum Awards – January 6, 2008
Great news! I have been nominated for four (4) music awards and winners are chosen by the listening audience which is you! I hope you will read on as I share a little history behind this.

December 21, 2007, I was praying with two of my dear Christian sisters/prayer partners after having celebrated Christmas together. We have done this for years and it has become a tradition. We submitted our prayer requests and my first one was “I want to move forward in ministry this year and not ‘lose MOMENTUM’”. One of my prayer partners jumped on the word “MOMENTUM” and she said “‘MOMENTUM’ is going to be a very important word for you this year”. I shared I felt God was going to do something in the music ministry in 2008. Another dear friend had been praying for this as well.

Around the New Years holiday, my two prayer partners were praying together, and they kept hearing the word “MOMENTUM” and that would be a key word for all three of us in 2008. We have been a prayer circle for almost a decade and have seen many miracles and answers to prayer. When God gives a word to all three of us, we pay attention. I was encouraged later when I heard about their prayer time together and the word “MOMENTUM”.

On January 3, 2008, I was notified by Keith Mohr, President of IndieHeaven the leading organization supporting independent artists in Christian music that I had been nominated as Female Vocalist of the Year and Contemporary Artist of the Year. Our Project Through the Eyes of the Father has been nominated for Album of the Year and Enter In has been nominated for Song of the Year. The event is the “3rd Annual MOMENTUM Awards”. Awards will be given at the upcoming IndieHeaven CIA Summit2008 Conference March 29, 2008 in Franklin, TN, just outside of Nashville.

Prior to any of this, God had put it on my heart that I needed to attend the CIA (Christian Independent Alliance) Summit in Franklin, TN. The past two years, I had been unable to attend and this year, I am able to go. I feel this is a divine appointment. The more we can increase the music ministry, the more the gospel can go out to other countries through music, missions, aid, teaching, etc. Right now, I have plans to go to the Philippines later this year and to Africa in 2009.

Want to help? Go to www.indieheaven.com, click on MOMENTUM, and vote in the categories below.

Song of the Year: Enter In
Album of the Year: Through the Eyes of the Father
Female Vocalist of the Year: Barbara Kohler
Contemporary Artist of the Year: Barbara Kohler.

Thank you for your support! I feel God has given us an invitation to believe for great things and this is one vehicle he is using that costs us only a little time. There are more songs to publish and more people to set free. After you vote, would you consider sharing our music with your friends and asking them to vote. Friends can listen for free at our website or www.indieheaven.com. Remember all votes must be in by January 31, 2008!

Thank you!

From Greece to the Philippines – June 30, 2007
Hi Everyone,

It is so great to be home… and again, I thank you all so much for supporting me and sending me. It was an awesome trip to Greece and I am back in the swing of things in the U.S.

I preached or taught seven times during my two week stay in Greece, ministered in theophostic prayer ministry, and played keyboard with Glyfada Christian Center’s worship band. They are an awesome group of musicians.

My room mate while in Greece was Katie Koontz who is from Salisbury, NC so we had lots in common. She was such a tremendous blessing in helping me navigate through the culture and differences abroad.

Rev. Alan Egford played drums for my concert and Katie Koontz played guitar. Katie sang one of her original compositions. She is a singer songwriter and has a prophetic anointing as well. When I preached at Pastor Angelo’s church in Athens, Katie rode along and we did prophetic ministry together which was a real blessing. Alan and I ministered together prophetically in one home group. Alan is British and he delivers the word of the Lord with such clarity. This was a real blessing!

The people in Greece are so hungry for the prophetic and I found that God was faithful to whisper His message ever so gently to these people. What a faithful God we serve! I also received a word from Leto, the head deaconess at Glyfada Christian Center. The Lord said through her that I would go to many strange nations and meet many strange people. I said “Yes, Lord!” When I heard this, it resonated in my heart as I have received several words regarding overseas missions. Most concern my going in and out of nations. I have been willing to live abroad, however, God continues to confirm that I will be based out of the U.S.

On to my next assignment. I have received an invitation to visit the Philippines to do a pastor/leaders conference. I am communicating with the pastor/overseer to see if this is a viable option for me. I am told that my team should include brothers in Christ as it is not safe for women to travel unescorted. Please pray for God’s provision in this area.

I am seriously considering this invitation, gathering more information, and letting the Lord lead me in prayer. I receive a lot of inquiries from overseas, however, this particular request – I feel – could truly be a God connection. I will keep you posted. Thank you for praying.

I love you, thank you and bless you!

Barbara
I’m Home! – June 17, 2007
Hi Everyone,

Thank you, again, for your love and support in sending me to Greece. It was a very productive trip and I feel that Power of the Cross Ministries has left an eternal deposit in that part of the world. I will be sending out an update soon.

Love and blessings,

Barbara
Update from Greece – June 11, 2007
Hi Everyone,

Things are going well here. The people of Ano Glyfada, Greece, are crying out for the Lord. There are many hurting people here and at times it can be overwhelming. The Lord has used me in Word of Knowledge and Prophecy to encourage and build up His church.

Wednesday, June 13th, I will share my testimony at the Christian School with the middle and high school. Please pray that I will share what God wants me to share. Nothing more, nothing less. Please pray for new salvations.

Wednesday night, I will provide concert ministry. Please pray that God’s people will be touched and motivated into a deeper walk with Him. Katie Koontz and Alan Egford will be ministering with me as well. Katie sings and plays guitar. She is also a songwriter. Alan is a talented drummer and missionary. He is also a semi-retired golf coach. Please pray that God will minister through each of us.

Thank you for your love and support. I am so grateful for your friendship. Some of you have heard me say this before. Many people have poured into my life to get me where I am now. I did not give up on the Lord, and you did not give up on me. Father has been faithful to minister to me and bring me along in the ministry.

Thank you to all who have been a part. This is your missions trip as much as it is mine.

I love you and bless you,

Barbara

Greece Update – June 3, 2007
Hi Everyone,

Thank you again, for your love and support. I am in Greece and having a bit of insomnia so I thought I would write. I don’t know if it is jet lag or the fact that it is hard to get anything decaf and sugar free here! Except water. The water tastes good.

The church here is a thriving church in the suburb of Athens. There is also a Christian school with about 150 students. The church has incoming refugees from many nations. It is a hub of activity. It seems they are always at the airport picking up someone or taking someone to meet their flight.

The staff are definitely overworked! Everyone works hard. Worship is done in English and Greek. This morning, I played for part of the worship service and then sang Dance of Redemption for offering.

I have been well received and feel very much a part for having been here only two days. Amazing, but I feel God’s grace and am really not missing creature comforts of America.

Wednesday night, I will preach, Thursday morning, I will do a women’s Bible Study. Thursday night, I will accompany Martha to do street ministry with the prostitutes and transvestites in downtown Athens. Friday, I am doing Theophostic Ministry and playing keyboard with the youth band for open house that night.

Sunday, I am playing for service, then leaving to preach at a Philippino Church around noonish.

Next week, we will have revival and it will be a little busier. I will have an opportunity to do Theophostic Prayer Ministry with the youth. Many are very wounded having lived in very oppressive societies and leaving that mindset behind. I have been reading some of their writings and some are very in touch with the harshness of the world.

Please pray for God to open the hearts of these youth. Please pray for me as I minister. There is much spiritual confusion in this country. You can feel it in the atmosphere. Please pray for me to have tunnel vision to bring the word of the Lord for these people. And if you don’t mind, please pray I will get some sleep!

I love you and bless you,

Barbara

Greece Update – May 21, 2007
Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for your support! We are almost there with the monies needed for my Greece missions trip. I have complete peace that God will provide the rest of the funds!

I will leave June 1 for Greece. While there, I will do a concert, a women’s Bible Study and one night meeting. Other duties will include whatever the pastor requests!

I am very excited as EME is a hub of activity and these laborers have a heart for seeing muslims come to Christ. I have shared with some of you that for years, I felt I would eventually work with muslim women. I am asking God to show me how He would like POCM to contribute to this work.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support. I will keep you posted.

Love and blessings,

Barbara
Greece Missions – March 12, 2007
Hi Everyone,

I have confirmed that I will be going to Ano Glyfada, Greece for a two week missions trip in June 2007. There is a local church there where I will be offering administrative, music and teaching gifts. Thank you for praying for this open door! Our prayers have been answered.

Please watch for further updates. Those of you who are on our mailing list will receive our newsletter by the end of March. My prayer has always been for God to use POCM to further the message of the cross to impart the life of God into His creation. This has been my heart’s cry since I was saved!

If you feel led to support our ministry, your tax deductible contributions can be made to Power of the Cross Ministries, Inc., P.O. Box 30076, Greenville, NC 27833.

Many blessings to you,

Barbara
Missions – November 12, 2006
Please join us in praying for missions outreaches to Greece and Nigeria in 2007. I am waiting to hear back from two ministries. One thing is for sure, God continues to confirm our calling for overseas missions and music ministry. It has been several years since I have been overseas and I am excited to return and bring the life changing message of the cross to hungry hearts. I trust Father to open the doors at the right time.

I am leading worship at the Women’s Encounter next weekend for my home church, Harvest Church based out of Washington, NC. I am continuing to write music and plan for the next CD.

I will be sending you an update letter soon. Thank you for your love and support. I am continuing to provide theophostic prayer ministry and Christian counseling through POCM. It is always exciting to be on the Lord’s path. He is consistent, but always fresh and new. There is nothing worth forfeiting His presence. Absolutely nothing. I pray I will always love Him with my whole heart. May that be your prayer, as well.

Resting in Him, Barbara
Breaking Through – September 16, 2006
After a season of rest and refreshing, God is moving me out again. I have continued to provide Christian counseling using traditional as well as theophostic prayer methods. I have continued to write new songs that I share with audiences when I am ministering in music. I will be sharing these with you soon.

Statement Of Faith

We affirm our belief in historic Christianity as revealed in the Scriptures and summarized in the Apostles’ Creed and we affirm the following beliefs:

ARTICLE I The Holy Trinity
The mystery of the Holy Trinity, namely, that the one God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and has so revealed Himself to us in the Gospel.

ARTICLE II The Lord Jesus Christ
The full deity and full humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God Incarnate, who by reason of his birth of the Virgin Mary, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, glorious ascension and triumphant reign, is the only Mediator between God and man.

ARTICLE III The Holy Scriptures
The trustworthiness of the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as God’s Word written, which contain all things necessary for salvation, teach God’s will for His world, and have supreme authority for faith, life and the continuous renewal and reform of the Church.

ARTICLE IV Justification and Sanctification
The justification of the repenting and believing sinner as God’s gracious act of declaring him righteous on the ground of the reconciling death of Christ, who suffered in our place and rose again for us; and sanctification as the gracious continuing activity of the Holy Spirit in the justified believer, perfecting his repentance, nurturing the new life implanted within him, transforming him into Christ’s image, and enabling him to do good works in the world.

ARTICLE V The Christian Church
The Church as the Body of Christ, whose members belong to the new humanity, and are called to live in the world in the power of the Holy Spirit, worshiping God, confessing His truth, proclaiming Christ, supporting one another in love and giving ourselves in sacrificial service to those in need.

ARTICLE VI Spiritual Gifts and Ministry
The calling of all Christians to exercise their God-given gifts in ministry, and to work, witness, and suffer for Christ; together with the particular calling of ministers, who by preaching, teaching and pastoral care, are to equip God’s people for His service, and to present them mature in Christ.

ARTICLE VII The Return of Christ
The personal return in glory of our Lord Jesus Christ at the end of this age for the resurrection of the dead (some to life, some to condemnation), for the glorification of His church and for the renewal of the whole creation.
